Membership Categories

Club Membership is open to all swimmers of any age, provided they can swim 25 metres unaided.

a)Membership Fees for the 2011/12 Season:

Registration Fees are divided into three categories

1)   Recreational Swimmers

-   Club Night

-  Club Championships

2)   Competitive Swimmers

-   Club Night

-   Club Championships

-   Brisbane Swimming Association (BSA) and Swimming Queensland (SQ) affiliated swim meets.

3)   Parents

-   All swimmers under the age of 16 require a minimum of one parent/guardian to also be registered.

We offer a discount to two or more children from the one family - the eldest child is registered as the first swimmer.

Registration Fees are payable by: 28 September 2011

For insurance purposes, children cannot participate at Club Nights or compete at swim meets until their fees have been paid in full.  Swimmers wishing to compete prior to 28 September 2011, must register at least 2 weeks prior to the event.

Membership is not activated until fees are paid; and for new Members, their birth certificate sighted.

Note: 

-   as there is only an $11 difference between a Competitive & Recreational Swimmer, may we suggest that you join as a competitive member at the time of sign-on, as any change during the season incurs a higher fee.  We have found that once children gain their confidence, they often want to try swimming at other meets. 

-   no administration fees apply for payments made by cash, cheque or direct debit to the Club, however, should you pay on-line with a credit card a 6% administration fee applies.

Membership Includes:

~      Club Night nomination fees and pool entry;

~      End of season trophy presentations;

~      Free parent/guardian membership (separate Registration form required for each parent) – which allows the parent/guardian to attend and vote at Waterworx Amateur Swimming Club General Meetings and Annual General Meetings; and Nominate for a position on the Management Committee;

~      Compulsory affiliation (membership) with the governing body, Swimming Queensland, which includes – Swimming Queensland’s fee, Brisbane Swimming Association’s fee, insurance cover and GST.

~      ‘Competitive’ swimmers are also able to nominate and swim at Swimming Queensland and Brisbane Swimming events.

Membership Excludes:

~      Nomination fees for Club Championship races;

~      Nomination fees, entry fees and penalty fees for Swimming Queensland and Brisbane Swimming events.
